Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music is one of the biggest within his part of the Latin mainstream. The hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and then released ADN for his debut full-length album. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He released Dopamina the chart-topping sophomore album in the year following. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. The 2023 album of 2000 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo was a member of a musical family, his older brother and mother are both musicians. In interviews he has described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. While a youngster, was playing the ukulele as well as piano. His initial choice of career was to be a veterinarian, but his brother Julian persuaded him to learn how to sing under an instructor from a Cuban instructor. It was the result that he found his talent for singing and altered the direction of his life.
