Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. The majority of her youth listening to classic music Boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic music along with classic classical music. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. Also, she loves operas and any form dramatic performance. Following her singing lessons with mom and sister, she began more intense training in vocals at age 16 under the guidance of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In her early career, she saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. In 2000, she relocated back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she returned to her home in southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in the traditional Latin American music at private performances. Alongside being a local performer and instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation in keeping the music vibrant.
